Bungee jumping & Co.

If you’re somewhat drawn to adrenaline, you’ve probably already considered bungee jumping. Although it might not be the first thing you think of about Tyrol from now on it definitely should be.

So, you like adrenaline then. In that case you’ve probably already come across Area 47. They offer a wide range of adrenaline inducing activities including bungee jumping. They offer a variety of jumping styles (head first, feet first, backflip, tandem) and jump from Austrias’ highest pedestrian bridge, the Benni-Raich bridge at Pitztal, located 94m above ground.

That’s not quite cutting it for you? Then how about you add about another 100 metres and head over to Rupert Hirner Bungy Jumping at the Europabrücke. The Verzasca Dam in Switzerland might be a bit taller but with 192 metres above ground the Europabrücke is still the highest bungee bridge in Europe and in April 2020 ranking 6th highest bungee platform in the world. A jump costs you 179€ (April 2020) and is so worth it. How do I know? Here’s a video from myself from 2008. more recent video from Tirol Adventures from 2019 can be found here.

Alternatively you can also hit the Mega Swing in Zillertal at #Schlegeis131, a giant swing from the 131m high Schlegeis reservoir dam. The experience which includes a 30m free fall costs you (April 2020) 50€. They also offer abseiling, flying fox (zip lining) and various climbing experiences.
